Neil Robertson, born in 1982, is an Australian professional snooker player who has established himself as one of the sport's most successful international competitors. He is celebrated as the only player from outside the United Kingdom to achieve snooker's Triple Crown, a prestigious distinction earned by winning the World Championship, the Masters, and the UK Championship. Robertson first turned professional during the 1998–99 season, and after a brief departure from the tour, he returned in the 2003–04 season to embark on a highly successful career.\n\nRobertson's breakthrough came in 2006 when he won the Grand Prix, becoming the first Australian to win a ranking event. He reached the pinnacle of the sport in 2010 by defeating Graeme Dott to claim the World Championship. He subsequently secured his first Masters title in 2012 and his first UK Championship in 2013. Known for his prolific break-building, Robertson became the first player in snooker history to compile 100 century breaks in a single season during the 2013–14 campaign, ultimately finishing with 103.\n\nPlaying left-handed, Robertson has accumulated over 25 career ranking titles and is one of a select group of players to have compiled more than 1,000 career century breaks, including five maximum breaks. His achievements earned him the title of World Snooker Tour Player of the Year for the 2021–22 season, and he has been inducted into the World Snooker Tour Hall of Fame. He continues to compete at the highest level, with notable victories extending into his forties.
