Mary Goretti Kitutu, also known as Mary Goretti Kitutu Kimono, is a Ugandan academic, politician, and environmentalist. Born on September 17, 1962, she has dedicated her career to public service, environmental advocacy, and academic pursuits within Uganda. Over the years, she has held several key ministerial portfolios in the Ugandan Cabinet, reflecting her expertise in environmental and resource management.

Kitutu's ministerial career began to gain significant prominence when she was appointed as the State Minister for the Environment on June 10, 2016, a position she held until December 14, 2019. Following her tenure in environmental oversight, she transitioned to the role of Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, serving from December 14, 2019, until June 8, 2021. On June 8, 2021, she was appointed as the Minister for Karamoja Affairs, succeeding John Byabagambi in the role.

Alongside her cabinet duties, Kitutu is an active legislative representative. She serves as the elected Women's Representative for the Manafwa District in the 11th Parliament of Uganda, covering the term from 2021 to 2026. Through her concurrent roles as a parliamentarian and cabinet minister, Kitutu remains an influential figure in Ugandan politics and environmental governance.
