Charles Alfred Graves was an American legal scholar and educator active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1850, he dedicated his professional life to legal academia, teaching students at prominent institutions in Virginia.
Graves is best known for his tenure as a law professor, serving on the faculties of the law schools at both Washington and Lee University and the University of Virginia. He remained a dedicated figure in legal education until his death in 1928.
