Donald Raymond Moyer was a soldier in the United States Army who served during the Korean War. Born on April 15, 1930, Moyer entered military service from Keego Harbor, Michigan, in 1948. His service took him to the Korean Peninsula, where he participated in the United Nations May–June 1951 counteroffensive.\n\nOn May 20, 1951, Moyer was killed in action during combat operations near Seoul, Korea. For his actions on that day, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the United States military's highest decoration for valor. He is buried in Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
