Edward Greey (1835–1888) was an English-American author and prominent dealer in East Asian art during the late nineteenth century. Born in England, he was later active in the United States, where he established a career specializing in the trade of Japanese and Chinese art ware. His dual pursuits as a writer and an antiquarian dealer allowed him to engage deeply with the aesthetic movements of his era, particularly the Western fascination with East Asian craftsmanship and design. Through his literary endeavors and his commercial art dealings, Greey played a role in introducing the cultural heritage of Japan and China to Western audiences during the Victorian period.
