Francis Joseph Grund (1805–1863) was a Bohemian-born American journalist and author. He is best known for his written observations on American life and society during the nineteenth century.\n\nHis most notable publication is The Americans in Their Moral, Social, and Political Relations, published in 1837. Through his career, Grund contributed to the contemporary understanding of American social and political dynamics.
