Thathamangalam Damodaran Ramakrishnan, born in 1961, is an acclaimed Indian novelist and translator who writes primarily in the Malayalam language. Before focusing entirely on his literary pursuits, Ramakrishnan built a long career with the Indian Railways, eventually retiring from his post as the Chief Controller in the Southern Railway division. This dual path of administrative service and creative writing shaped his unique perspective as an author.

Ramakrishnan achieved widespread recognition with his groundbreaking novels, which are celebrated for their intricate plots, historical depth, and philosophical inquiries.
