Lucile Taylor Hansen (1897–1976) was an American author known for her contributions to science fiction and popular science. During the early portion of her career, she adopted the male writing persona "L. Taylor Hansen" to publish her work, navigating a literary landscape where female writers in these genres were uncommon.
Throughout her active years, Hansen successfully balanced creative storytelling with scientific communication. She authored eight short stories in the science fiction genre. Beyond her fiction, she was a prolific science communicator, writing nearly sixty nonfiction articles aimed at popularizing the fields of anthropology and geology, as well as publishing three nonfiction books.
