Marie Conway Oemler was an American novelist and short story writer from Georgia whose career flourished during the early twentieth century. She established herself as a popular literary voice through her frequent contributions to prominent national publications of her era, including The Century Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Women's Home Companion, and Ladies Home Journal. Oemler is best remembered for her novels, particularly Slippy McGee and A Woman Named Smith.
