Sir Francis Bond Head, 1st Baronet, was a colonial administrator who served as the Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada. He is primarily remembered for his governance during the Rebellion of 1837, a critical period of civil unrest in the colony's history.

Head was born in 1793 and achieved several distinctions throughout his life, including appointments as a Knight Commander of the Royal Guelphic Order and a member of the Privy Council. He passed away in 1875.
