Richard Head (c. 1637 – 1686) was an Irish author, playwright, and bookseller. Operating within the seventeenth-century literary market, he engaged with the book trade both as a creator of texts and as a commercial seller.

Head achieved widespread fame with the publication of his satirical novel The English Rogue in 1665. The work holds a significant place in literary history as one of the earliest English-language novels to be translated for continental European readers.
