Charlotte B. Herr was an author of children's literature who was active during the early twentieth century. She is best known for writing the Punky Dunk Series, which became her most recognizable contribution to children's books of her era.
Many of Herr's early literary works were brought to life through collaborations with the illustrator Frances Beem. These illustrated volumes were published by the P. F. Volland Company, a publisher noted for its children's book catalog during that period.
