Hamilton Holt was an American educator, editor, author, and politician active during the late nineteenth and early-to-mid twentieth centuries. Born in 1872, Holt developed a multi-faceted career that spanned public service, journalism, and academic administration.
Holt is most notably remembered for his leadership in higher education, serving as the president of Rollins College from 1925 to 1949. Over his twenty-four years in this role, he left a lasting impact on the institution. He passed away in 1951.
