James Andrew Haley was an American politician and military veteran who represented the state of Florida in the United States House of Representatives. Born in 1899, Haley served his country during World War I before embarking on a lengthy career in public service.\n\nHaley was elected to Congress and began his service in 1953. He went on to serve twelve consecutive terms as a U.S. Representative, concluding his legislative career in 1977. He passed away in 1981.
