Born on October 30, 1982, Hernández spent years competing at the highest levels of professional baseball internationally, showcasing his skills in both North American and Japanese leagues.
During his career in Major League Baseball (MLB), Hernández played for several prominent franchises, including the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, Cleveland Indians, and Houston Astros. He also expanded his career globally by playing in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Chunichi Dragons. Following his playing career, he transitioned to coaching, serving as the third base coach and infield coach for the Bravos de León of the Mexican League.
