J.J. Howard is an American novelist who writes contemporary young adult fiction. She entered the literary scene in April 2013 with her debut novel, That Time I Joined the Circus, published under the Scholastic Point imprint. Her early work established her ability to craft engaging, character-driven narratives tailored for young adult readers.
In 2015, Howard published her second novel, Tracers, with Putnam. The novel achieved broader commercial visibility when it was adapted into a major motion picture starring Taylor Lautner, which premiered in February of the same year.
