Thomas Allibone Janvier was an American story-writer and historian whose career spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 16, 1849, Janvier was of Provençal descent.
Throughout his life, Janvier focused his literary efforts on historical writing and short stories. He maintained his writing career until his death on June 18, 1913.
