Mary Ann Kilner (1753–1831), born Mary Ann Maze, was a prolific English writer who specialized in children's literature during the late eighteenth century. Throughout her writing career, she published her works under the pseudonym "S. S.", an abbreviation that referenced her home address in Spital Square, London.

Kilner worked closely with her sister-in-law, Dorothy Kilner, and together the pair published more than thirty books for young readers. Among Mary Ann Kilner's individual writings, her most famous and enduring work is The Adventures of a Pincushion, which was published circa 1780–1783.
