Marshall Ney King was an American professional baseball player who competed during the early years of organized professional sports. Born in Lansingburgh, New York, in December 1849, King played in the National Association for two seasons, from 1871 to 1872. During his time in the league, he showcased his versatility on the field by playing multiple positions, including center fielder, catcher, and shortstop.
Over the course of his two-season career, King played for both the Chicago White Stockings and the Troy Haymakers. He spent his later years in New York, eventually passing away at the age of 61 on October 19, 1911, in the city of Troy. He was laid to rest at the Oakwood Cemetery, located in Troy, New York.
