Cyril M. Kornbluth (1923–1958) was an American science fiction author who made significant contributions to the genre during his career. Born on July 2, 1923, Kornbluth became an active participant in the science fiction community, notably as a member of the Futurians, an influential group of writers and fans. His career was cut short by his early death on March 21, 1958, yet he left behind a distinct legacy within speculative fiction.

A defining characteristic of Kornbluth's professional writing career was his extensive use of pen-names. Rather than publishing solely under his birth name, he adopted a wide variety of aliases to release his work. These pseudonyms allowed him to publish prolifically across different venues and included names such as Cecil Corwin, S. D. Gottesman, Edward J. Bellin, Kenneth Falconer, and Walter C. Davies.

In addition to these identities, Kornbluth also wrote and published under the names Simon Eisner, Jordan Park, Arthur Cooke, Paul Dennis Lavond, and Scott Mariner. This diverse array of signatures highlights his versatility and active output during a key era of American science fiction development.
