Robert Wesley Knepper is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played fifteen seasons in the major leagues between 1976 and 1990. Over the course of his athletic career, he pitched for both the San Francisco Giants and the Houston Astros.

During his time in the major leagues, Knepper achieved significant professional milestones, including earning two All-Star appearances. He was also honored as the National League Comeback Player of the Year in 1981. Later in his career, in 1988, he gained widespread notoriety for making disparaging public remarks concerning umpire Pam Postema, the National Organization for Women, and gay people.
