Maurice Larrouy was a French marine officer and writer active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In addition to writing under his birth name, he was also known to readers by his pseudonym, René Milan.
Born in 1882, Larrouy balanced his military service in the marine forces with his literary pursuits. He lived until July 1939, passing away in Meung-sur-Loire.
