Jeanie Thomas Gould Lincoln was an American novelist and writer of romances, historical fiction, and children's books. Born in Troy, New York, in either 1846 or 1853, she began her literary career publishing stories and serials in various contemporary newspapers and magazines. During this period, she frequently utilized the pseudonym "Daisy Ventnor" for her published submissions.\n\nIn 1877, she married Dr. N. S. Lincoln, a prominent physician practicing in Washington, D.C. The couple settled in the capital and raised two children, G. Gould Lincoln and Natalie Sumner Lincoln. Her daughter, Natalie, would later follow in her mother's literary footsteps to become a well-known writer herself. Jeanie Gould Lincoln's work contributed to the popular romantic and historical fiction genres of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. She passed away on August 8, 1921.
