Ananias Charles (A. C.) Littleton was an American accounting scholar and educator who dedicated his career to the academic study of accounting. Born in 1886, Littleton became a prominent figure in business education, serving for many years as a professor of accounting at the University of Illinois.\n\nThroughout his career, Littleton focused extensively on the history of accounting, contributing valuable research to the development of the field. In addition to his academic writing and teaching, he was a co-founder of Beta Alpha Psi, an honor society established to recognize academic excellence in the field of financial information. Littleton passed away in 1974.
