Andrew Flower is a highly celebrated Zimbabwean cricket coach and former international cricketer who is widely regarded as the greatest player his nation has ever produced. Born in 1968, Flower served as Zimbabwe's wicket-keeper for over a decade and captained the national team. Statistically recognized as the country's finest batsman, he achieved a peak ranking as the number-one Test batsman in the world in late 2001 and was widely acknowledged as the only Zimbabwean batsman of genuine world-class quality across all playing conditions. Among his notable playing achievements is a score of 145 against India in the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy, which remains the highest individual score by a Zimbabwean player in any major tournament.\n\nFollowing his retirement from active play, Flower transitioned into a highly successful coaching career. He served as the head coach of the England national cricket team from 2009 to 2014, becoming only the second foreign coach in the team's history. Under his guidance, England secured the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 title.
