James Alexander McClymont (1848–1927) was a Scottish minister who dedicated his career to the Church of Scotland. He achieved his highest ecclesiastical distinction in 1921, when he was appointed to serve as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.\n\nOver the course of his life and service, McClymont was recognized with notable honors. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) and was awarded the Volunteer Officers' Decoration (VD).
