Elizabeth Roberts MacDonald (1864–1922) was a Canadian author, poet, and essayist who made significant contributions to late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century Canadian literature. Born Elizabeth Roberts, she developed a versatile writing career that spanned multiple genres, including poetry, children's literature, essays, and short stories.\n\nThroughout her career, MacDonald was an active journalist and commentator, regularly contributing articles to various daily newspapers across both Canada and the United States.
