Eva Anne Madden (1863–1958) was an American educator, journalist, playwright, and author. Active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, she is particularly distinguished for her pioneering role in the field of American media, where she became recognized as one of the first women newspaper journalists in New York City.\n\nIn addition to her groundbreaking work in journalism, Madden was active as an educator and contributed to the theater and literary landscape as both a playwright and an author. She lived a long and varied career, passing away in 1958.
