Winston Aubrey Aladar Marshall is an English musician, podcaster, and political commentator who gained international recognition as a founding member of the folk rock band Mumford & Sons. Serving as the band's banjoist and lead guitarist, Marshall played a key role in their rise to global fame. During his time with the group, Mumford & Sons achieved significant critical and commercial success, earning numerous accolades including two Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards. Before finding mainstream success with the band, Marshall performed with the bluegrass sleaze rap group Captain Kick and the Cowboy Ramblers.
Following his departure from Mumford & Sons in 2021, Marshall shifted his career focus toward media and political commentary. He has since become a vocal right-wing commentator, sharing his perspectives on culture and politics through various digital platforms. From 2021 to 2023, he hosted the interview podcast Marshall Matters for the British magazine The Spectator. In 2024, he expanded his media presence by launching his own independent politics and culture podcast, titled The Winston Marshall Show.
