Eamonn McCann is an Irish political activist, journalist, and former politician from Derry, Northern Ireland. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in regional politics, advocating for socialist policies and community representation.
McCann served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Foyle from 2016 to 2017 under the People Before Profit (PBP) banner. In 2019, he was elected to the Derry City and Strabane District Council, a position he held until his resignation for health reasons in March 2021.
