Jean Newton McIlwraith was a Canadian novelist and biographer whose literary career spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in December 1858, she produced a diverse body of work that reflected her versatility as a writer, encompassing children's literature, historical romances, and biography.
McIlwraith's notable historical romances include The Curious Career of Roderick Campbell, published in 1901, A Diana of Quebec in 1912, and Kinsmen at War in 1927.
