Walter Melville Robertson was a senior officer in the United States Army who served during the mid-twentieth century. Born in 1888, Robertson rose through the military ranks to achieve the grade of Major General, dedicating his career to military service.
Robertson is most notable for his leadership during World War II, specifically commanding the 2nd Infantry Division. For his outstanding leadership during the pivotal Battle of the Bulge in December 1944, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the second-highest military decoration in the United States.
