Hamish McLennan, born in June 1966, is a prominent Australian businessman and corporate executive who has built a distinguished career leading several major listed companies on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). He is widely recognized for his leadership across diverse sectors, including digital media, finance, and sports administration. Currently, McLennan serves as the chairman of REA Group, a multibillion-dollar global digital advertising and real estate enterprise operated by News Corporation. Additionally, he holds the position of chairman at Magellan Financial Group, a globally focused equity fund, and ARN Media, while also serving as a director for the global claims business Claim Central Consolidated.\n\nThroughout his career, McLennan has held numerous high-profile executive roles in global marketing and media. He previously served as the executive vice president in the Office of the Chairman at News Corporation. Prior to that, he was the chairman of Young & Rubicam, which constitutes the largest division of WPP, the world's largest marketing and advertising services group. His leadership experience also extends to the television industry, where he formerly served as the chief executive officer and managing director of the free-to-air television network Ten Network Holdings. Beyond his corporate endeavors, McLennan was the chairman of Rugby Australia from May 2020 until November 2023.
