Enoch Josiah "Joe" Mills (1880–1935) was a versatile American figure who worked as an author, naturalist, hotelier, and college athletics administrator. Alongside his literary and outdoor pursuits, Mills was heavily involved in collegiate sports during the early decades of the twentieth century, serving as a coach for football, basketball, and baseball programs.
Mills's coaching career took him to several prominent institutions. He served as the head football coach at Fort Worth University from 1904 to 1906, followed by a stint at Polytechnic College (currently known as Texas Wesleyan University) in 1907. He then coached at Baylor University from 1908 to 1909, and later directed the football program at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1918 to 1919.
