Anthony Rubens Montalba (1812–1884) was a Swedish-born painter who later became a naturalized British citizen. Beyond his own artistic endeavors, Montalba is notable as the patriarch of a highly regarded family of artists who established their base in Venice, Italy, during the latter part of the nineteenth century.
In the literary world, Montalba is best remembered as the editor of the 1849 anthology Fairy Tales from All Nations.
