Arthur Nicolson, 1st Baron Carnock, was a British diplomat and politician whose career spanned from the final quarter of the nineteenth century through the middle of the First World War. Born in 1849, Nicolson was a figure in British public life during this critical historical period.
Over the course of his career, he held significant titles, being known as Sir Arthur Nicolson, 11th Baronet, from 1899 until 1916. His work in diplomacy and politics concluded during the wartime era, and he passed away in 1928.
