Grace May North, who also published under the pen name Carol Norton, was an American newspaper journalist and author of fiction for children and adolescents. Born in 1876, she developed a career centered on writing for both general news audiences and younger readers, creating stories that featured both girl and boy protagonists.
Throughout her career, she wrote primarily under her birth name, Grace May North. However, some of her later novels were subsequently republished under her Carol Norton pseudonym. She lived until 1960, leaving behind a body of work dedicated to youth literature.
