William Dana Orcutt (1870–1953) was an American author, historian, book designer, and typeface designer. Active during the late nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century, Orcutt dedicated his professional life to the creation, study, and design of books. As both a writer of history and a designer of type, Orcutt's work spanned multiple disciplines within the literary and publishing worlds, allowing him to contribute to the field as both a creative writer and a visual craftsman.
