Arthur Willoughby Barton (1899–1976) was an academic author, educator, and sports official who maintained a diverse professional life. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, establishing himself in the academic sphere, and went on to serve as a school headmaster.
Beyond his work in education and academic writing, Barton was also active in the sporting world, serving as an association football referee. His career combined intellectual leadership, academic authorship, and athletic officiating throughout the mid-twentieth century.
