Elin Ulfsdotter Snakenborg, also known as Helena and nicknamed 'Helena the Red' for her red hair, was a Swedish-born noblewoman who became a prominent figure in the court of Tudor England. Born in 1548 or 1549, she served as a Maid of Honour to Queen Elizabeth I. She attained high aristocratic status through her marriage to William Parr, 1st Marquess of Northampton, which made her the Marchioness of Northampton. She lived a long life, passing away on April 10, 1635.
