Donald K. Peterson is an American corporate executive best known for his leadership roles in major technology and telecommunications firms. He served as the creator and former Chief Executive Officer of Avaya, a multinational technology company. Prior to his tenure at Avaya, Peterson established his executive career as the Chief Financial Officer of Lucent Technologies.\n\nPeterson's academic background laid the foundation for his business career. He completed his undergraduate studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1971.
