Eaton Leonard "Leon" Green, born on September 21, 1967, was a notorious Yardie gang member who operated within the criminal underworld of South London. His extensive involvement in organized crime included activities such as armed robbery, drug trafficking, and extortion. Green eventually transitioned into a pivotal and highly controversial role, becoming the very first Yardie member to serve as a confidential informant for the Metropolitan Police.

The depth of Green's cooperation and the scandalous nature of his relationship with law enforcement came to light during his 1997 deportation hearing. His testimony revealed that officers from the Drug Related Violence and Intelligence Unit (DRVI), including immigration and intelligence personnel, had actively protected his criminal enterprise. This protection allowed Green to continue his illegal operations with relative impunity.

Furthermore, the collusion extended to Green's associates. The DRVI was exposed for providing false passports to members of the Black Roses crew and notorious accomplices Cecil and Rohan Thomas, individuals known to have committed at least ten murders. The unit also assisted Green in securing British residency rights through a highly questionable marriage to a British woman, cementing a legacy of deep-seated institutional corruption.
