William Pilling (1857–1924) was an English sportsman who played first-class cricket during the late Victorian era. Born in Church, Lancashire, Pilling represented his home county's cricket club during his brief athletic career.

His active career at the first-class level was highlighted by a single appearance for Lancashire in 1891. Serving as a wicketkeeper, Pilling recorded nine runs during his match, achieving a highest score of nine not out. Defensively, he contributed to his team's efforts by securing one catch and executing one stumping. He passed away in Manchester in 1924.
