Pu Songling (1640–1715) was a Chinese writer who lived and worked during the Qing dynasty. He is highly regarded for his contributions to Chinese literature, particularly in the realm of classical tales.
He is best known as the author of Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (Liaozhai zhiyi), a celebrated collection of stories that has secured his legacy as a master of classical Chinese prose.
