Ryan Ramsay is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who spent a significant portion of his career competing in Germany's top-tier professional league, the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Born in May 1983, Ramsay developed his skills in Canada before transitioning to the European professional circuit, where he established himself as a reliable competitor.
During his tenure in the DEL, Ramsay represented several major German clubs. His career included stints with the Krefeld Pinguine, DEG Metro Stars, Straubing Tigers, and Kölner Haie. In July 2013, he signed a one-year contract as a free agent with the Schwenninger Wild Wings. Ramsay played for two seasons with the Wild Wings before deciding to retire from professional competition. Following his retirement, he remained active in the sport by running a hockey camp dedicated to training and developing young players.
