George Edwards Theodore Goodridge Roberts was a Canadian novelist and poet who made significant contributions to his country's early twentieth-century literary landscape. Born in 1877, he belonged to a prominent Canadian family of artists and writers; he was the brother of the renowned poet Charles G. D. Roberts and later became the father of the painter Goodridge Roberts.
Over his active writing career, Roberts was exceptionally prolific, publishing thirty-four novels alongside more than one hundred short stories and poems.
