Frederick William Rolfe, also known by the pseudonym Baron Corvo (which translates from Italian as "Crow"), was an English writer, artist, photographer, and eccentric. Born on July 22, 1860, Rolfe lived a multi-faceted creative life, occasionally adopting the highly elaborate name Frederick William Serafino Austin Lewis Mary Rolfe.

As a novelist, Rolfe is best remembered for his 1904 work Hadrian the Seventh. Beyond his literary contributions, he actively engaged in photography and art, earning a reputation for his eccentricities. He passed away on October 25, 1913.
