George Arnold Haynes Safroni-Middleton, also known by the title Count Safroni, was a multi-talented British creator whose career spanned the late nineteenth and early to mid-twentieth centuries. Born in 1873, Safroni-Middleton pursued a wide variety of artistic and intellectual disciplines. He was active as a composer, director, violinist, and harpist, demonstrating a deep engagement with music, while also working as a writer and dedicating time to amateur astronomy.

In managing his diverse creative output, Safroni-Middleton utilized different identities for his work. Notably, he adopted the pseudonym William H. Myddleton for several of his pieces.
