Emma Speed Sampson (1868–1947) was an American writer who focused her literary efforts on juvenile fiction. Born in the late nineteenth century, she contributed to the growing field of children's literature in the United States.
In addition to her career as an author, Sampson also worked as a movie censor. This role connected her directly to the cultural and regulatory developments of the early motion picture industry during her lifetime.
