Lucius Manlius Sargent (1786–1867) was an American author, antiquarian, and temperance advocate. Born into the prominent Sargent family of Boston, he was an active participant in the social and literary life of his era. Sargent's work and advocacy were closely tied to the temperance movement of the nineteenth century. As an antiquarian and writer, he contributed to the preservation of local history and the promotion of social reform in New England.
